The Balloon room children have been learning about Remembrance day and its importance that we remember the heroes who bravely fought for our freedom. The children went on a walk to our local church to deliver their homemade poppy to pay tribute to Remembrance Day.
The Jungle room children had an opportunity to explore a combination of woodland animals and Halloween play. The tray had a mix of Fern, Woodland animals such as deer, squirrels,Fox,Hedgehogs, badger, owls and a Rabbit with a mix of coloured pumpkins. The children used their senses to smell the fresh leaves, touch the different textures, use their imagination and talk about colour recognition. We then talked about which animals we played with and enjoyed being social playing together.
Here are some photos from a recent creative activity that our Jungle room children took part in. The children used their eye and hand coordination touching and discovering new textures, scents and natural objects, they also had fun posing using the picture frame too.
Heirs and Graces is located in Tring in an old Victorian house with a good sized garden and covered decking area.
We have refurbished the house to provide ideal childcare accommodation whilst retaining a lovely homely feel.
